Shopify category attributes for Lamps

In Shopify's standard product taxonomy, Lamps sits at Home & Garden > Lighting > Lamps. Once a product has this category, Shopify shows the attributes below in the product editor. Filled attributes are structured facts — AI shopping assistants and Shopify's own search and filters can use them to match a shopper's question without guessing from your text.

The 15 attributes for Lamps

• Bulb cap type — Specifies the type of cap or base a light bulb or fixture has, e.g. E12, GU10
  Examples: B22, E5, E6, E9, E10, E12, E14, E17 (25 values in total)
• Bulb size — Specifies the size of light bulbs, e.g. A19, C7
  Examples: A15, A19, A21, BR30, BR40, C7, C9, G25 (16 values in total)
• Bulb type — Specifies the type of bulb used in lighting products, e.g. LED, halogen
  Examples: Fluorescent, Halogen, Incandescent, Infrared, LED, Neon, Xenon, Other
• Color — Defines the primary color or pattern, such as blue or striped
  Examples: Beige, Black, Blue, Bronze, Brown, Clear, Gold, Gray (19 values in total)
• Energy efficiency class — Defines the energy efficiency rating of a product, e.g. A+++
  Examples: A, A+, A++, A+++, B, C, D, E (11 values in total)
• Furniture/Fixture material — Identifies the main material used in furniture or fixtures, like wood or metal
  Examples: Acrylic, Aluminum, Bamboo, Beech wood, Brass, Canvas, Cedar wood, Ceramic (58 values in total)
• Glazing material — Identifies the material covering the photo area (e.g., glass, acrylic, or none).
  Examples: Acrylic, Glass, None, Plastic, Other
• Light color — Defines the color or hue of light, such as white or multicolor
  Examples: Beige, Black, Blue, Bronze, Brown, Clear, Gold, Gray (19 values in total)
• Light pattern — Defines the visual theme of lighting products, for example, geometric or rainbow
  Examples: Abstract, Animal, Art, Bead & reel, Birds, Brick, Bull's eye, Camouflage (51 values in total)
• Light temperature — Defines the color characteristics of light sources, such as warm white or daylight
  Examples: Blue light, Cool white, Daylight, Ember glow, Warm white, Other
• Lighting features — Describes special characteristics of lighting, like adjustable brightness or LED lighting
  Examples: Adjustable angle, Adjustable brightness, Adjustable color temperature, AI-powered, Dimmable, Energy efficient, LED lighting, Programmable timer function (11 values in total)
• Mounting type — Specifies how a product is installed or attached, such as clip-on or suction cup
  Examples: Built-in, Ceiling, Counter, Floor, Free-standing, Hanging, Mobile, Portable (12 values in total)
• Pattern — Describes the design or motif of a product, such as floral or striped
  Examples: Abstract, Animal, Art, Bead & reel, Birds, Brick, Bull's eye, Camouflage (51 values in total)
• Power source — Specifies the power source a product uses to operate, such as solar or batteries
  Examples: AC-powered, Alcohol, Batteries, Battery-powered, Butane, Charcoal, Cigar lighter, DC-powered (28 values in total)
• Switch control type — Describes how a light switch is controlled, such as button or sensor
  Examples: Button, Lever, Rotary, Scrollbar, Sensor, Slider, Tilt, Touch (9 values in total)

More specific categories

Shopify recommends the most specific category that fits. Under Lamps you can choose: Bedside Lamps, Desk Lamps, Floor Lamps, Reading Lamps, Table Lamps. A more specific category can come with more attributes.

How to fill them

1. Open the product in Shopify admin → Category → choose Lamps (or a more specific one).
2. The category's attributes appear below it. Pick values that are true for the product — for example, the colors you actually sell.
3. Only fill what you know. An empty attribute is better than a wrong one.

Many attributes are already in your store in another form: your variant options ("Color: Black, Olive") or words in your title and description ("100% cotton"). Listproof reads those and suggests the matching attribute values for you to approve — it never fills an attribute that isn't supported by your own product details.
