Shopify category attributes for Rugs

In Shopify's standard product taxonomy, Rugs sits at Home & Garden > Decor > Rugs. Once a product has this category, Shopify shows the attributes below in the product editor. Filled attributes are structured facts — AI shopping assistants and Shopify's own search and filters can use them to match a shopper's question without guessing from your text.

• Care instructions — Provides guidance for product upkeep, such as hand wash or dry clean only
  Examples: Dry clean only, Dryer safe, Hand wash, Ironing instructions, Machine washable, Tumble dry, Other
• Color — Defines the primary color or pattern, such as blue or striped
  Examples: Beige, Black, Blue, Bronze, Brown, Clear, Gold, Gray (19 values in total)
• Pattern — Describes the design or motif of a product, such as floral or striped
  Examples: Abstract, Animal, Art, Bead & reel, Birds, Brick, Bull's eye, Camouflage (51 values in total)
• Pile type — Defines the texture and style of carpets, rugs, and mats; e.g. plush, berber
  Examples: Berber, Braided, Cable, Cut, Cut & loop, Flatweave, Frieze, Hand-knotted (21 values in total)
• Rug features — Describes specific characteristics of rugs, such as anti-slip base or UV resistant colors
  Examples: All season, Anti-slip base, Anti-slip surface, Easy to clean, Heavy duty, Interchangeable surface, Low profile, Made to order (13 values in total)
• Rug material — Identifies the material used in a rug's construction, such as wool or jute
  Examples: Bamboo, Coir, Cotton, Jute, Leather, Microfiber, Nylon, Polycarbonate (PC) (17 values in total)
• Rug shape — Identifies the geometric design of rugs, such as square or runner
  Examples: Oval, Rectangular, Round, Runner, Semicircular, Square, Other
• Style — Describes the style of a product, typically for window treatments; e.g. vertical blind, pleated shades
  Examples: Barroco, Bohemian, Classic, Colonial, Contemporary, Farmhouse, Industrial, Minimalist (16 values in total)
• Suitable space — Defines the ideal location for product use, e.g. indoors, above ground
  Examples: Indoors, Outdoors, Other

How to fill them

1. Open the product in Shopify admin → Category → choose Rugs (or a more specific one).
2. The category's attributes appear below it. Pick values that are true for the product — for example, the colors you actually sell.
3. Only fill what you know. An empty attribute is better than a wrong one.

Many attributes are already in your store in another form: your variant options ("Color: Black, Olive") or words in your title and description ("100% cotton"). Listproof reads those and suggests the matching attribute values for you to approve — it never fills an attribute that isn't supported by your own product details.
